One that got away: The Amazing Spiderman

The one that got away, well that is what “The Amazing Spiderman” is for me. In the list of movies I wanted to watch, I managed to convince myself that the first movie of the rebooted Spiderman series could be skipped. Till one of my friend made be realize that it was worth watching this movie.

Good thing about a comic book hero is that there are multiple stories lines and Universes to pick from. So that the production houses could literally pull out the story from a series and make a movie. As with other super heroes Spiderman has multiple personas. Just to reiterate my point, Alternative versions of Spider-Man

Indian Version of Spiderman (Pavitr Prabhakar)

From the looks of it, this Spiderman series is going to be based on the “Amazing Spiderman” Series.

Basic Plot:
Peter Parker spends his days trying to unravel the mystery of his own past, and trying to win the heart of his high school crush, Gwen Stacy. Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase belonging to his father, who abandoned him when he was a child, which leads him to his father’s former partner, Dr. Curtis Connors.

The new Spiderman movie promises to be wholesome entertainer. From the cast of the movie it is very clear that this movie is going to explore parts of Spiderman comics not explored by the previous Spiderman Movies. The only concern I can see is that it is coming pretty close to the previous trilogy of Spiderman. The previous series was successful and there are bound to be comparison between the movies.
